What is one thing you've recently learned that has changed your perspective in a positive way?

Recently, I’ve delved deeper into the principle of "anti-fragility," introduced by Nassim Nicholas Taleb in his book Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder. This concept has significantly shifted my perspective in a positive way. Anti-fragility goes beyond resilience or robustness; it describes systems, organisms, or ideas that actually thrive and grow stronger when exposed to volatility, stress, or uncertainty.

I used to think the goal was to be resilient, to resist shocks and maintain stability. However, the idea of anti-fragility suggests that challenges and disruptions can serve as a catalyst for growth. This changed the way I view setbacks—whether in professional settings, personal development, or even in technology. Instead of merely trying to withstand adversity, I've learned to see it as an opportunity for improvement and innovation.

For example, this concept applies to companies and startups. Rather than avoiding risks, businesses can create systems that benefit from fluctuations in the market. It’s also highly relevant in personal growth, encouraging me to seek discomfort and challenges that might lead to unexpected growth or insights.

This perspective has brought a more proactive, optimistic approach to both challenges and opportunities in my daily life. Now, instead of fearing the unexpected, I’m more inclined to embrace it as a chance to strengthen my capacities and learn something new. This shift not only enhances mental flexibility but also opens up more creative and effective ways to navigate uncertainty.
